America the Ugly

STOP THE PLANET!
I WANT TO GET OFF!

The Left say the Right are idiots.
The Right say the Left are idiots.

The Left say that Republican Presidents are morons. The Right say that Democratic Presidents are morons.

So, WE’RE SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS AND MORONS!

Who is running this country and how did we get this far if we’re ALL idiots and morons?

Not EVERYONE can be an idiot. And NOT EVERY President can be a moron.

Lately America has become a very ugly place. Not our scenery. She’s still beautiful. America is ugly because we Americans have turned her into a war zone. All our infighting is repulsive. We are ALL Americans, yet we can’t get past our political differences and join together in the fight toward a better Health Care System. It’s just pathetic and we should all be ashamed of ourselves.

What I don’t understand is WHY any American would consider another American his enemy. Political differences have been in existence since the beginning of our democracy, but I don’t believe I’ve ever read that our ancestors called one another “enemy” for having different views. (Excluding Britain) It’s quite disturbing.

It is even more disconcerting when one cannot befriend someone of a different political affiliation without being attacked. Or when someone from the opposite side of the aisle is considered responsible for the actions of the President just because they voted for him. They voted for Obama because they felt he was the best man for the job. Just as we Conservatives felt GW was the best man a few years ago.

I also find it unsettling when some Liberals don’t agree with my views so they call me stupid or accuse me of lacking moral character. Since when do political views equate to integrity? I am honest, loyal and benevolent. Just because my beliefs don’t match theirs doesn’t give them the right to twist it to equate that I’m the devil incarnate. Or because I don’t post about the town hall meetings or Michelle Obama, somehow that equates to me lacking sincerity or maybe I’m Satan in disguise…yes, that MUST be it! I can see the horns now –I better hide my pitch fork!

But seriously, what is going on? We DISAGREE. What is the big friggin’ deal? I debate with people all the time, but I do NOT insult them. I do NOT insult their integrity or their intelligence. I allow them to speak their peace and I speak mine. We may never see eye to eye and that’s OKAY, because we ALWAYS respect one another.

Here in the blogosphere it’s worse than a playground. Because on a playground the kids aren’t as mean to one another and there is a patrol if things get out of hand. I have NEVER heard such vile things said to and about people. I also have never seen more grown people acting like a bunch of big babies. It’s shameful.

We are on the SAME side here people. We are AMERICANS!

And for US to win, America HAS to win; because if she doesn’t, we ALL lose.

  1. Pam,When we have a government in power that pushing for a complete government take over of our health care system, when we have a president who surrounds himself with leftist radicals and whose entire cabinet and all of his "czars" reads like a Who's Who in rogues gallery of questionable individuals, when we have a president who is dead set on turning America into a socialist/communist nation, then they are the enemy of America and our freedoms.

When someone is bound and determined to enslave you, there is NO negotiating, there is only the fight to remain free. Pathetic? Yes, but absolutely necessary.

There are problems with our health care system, but a complete government take over, socialist rationing system is not the answer. I am sorry, but those on the left are NOT interested in Health care reform, they are only interested in health care takeover.

I read the entire bill on line (it took me 6 days, reading 4 - 5 hrs. a day) and it is absolutely frightening. Obama and those on the left have been and are continuing to lie about what is or is not in the bill.

  2. Reverend: I have never denied that we have a health care problem. I also have not denied that HR 3200 is a monstrosity. I also don’t want a total government system. I believe we need to tweak our health care system, not totally chuck it. To me it is just frightening how much anger there is between fellow Americans. I don’t believe I have ever seen us this divided and it’s scary.

  3. Yes, today in America I feel like I am on the Titanic and everyone is jostling for one of the last remaining seats on the lifeboats...

Then I read Pam's post and I feel better because is serious situations like the one we are facing today we need cool logical thought not hate spewing anger...

Then of course you have folks like the "Most Rev. Gregori" who jumps in with his fight for your freedoms crap...

Guess what Reverand your freedoms were lost long before Obama took the oath of office sorry that it took the election of a black man to wake you up from your slumber all these years...

Why do you believe that "The Left" wants to take over the healthcare system? What would they gain? But then again maybe "The Left" likes to control things that are dysfunctional, inefficient, and ineffective...

Realistically, we should let them have it and then we can build a better one from scratch, which just might be easier...

  4. As a man of the cloth, I am interested in how you would approach health care reform Rev. Gregori. You have called members of the Obama Administration "leftist radicals." And a "rogues gallery of questionable individuals." Then you accuse our President of being dead set on turning America into a socialist/communist nation. You call his administration an enemy of America and our freedoms. You said Obama and the left have been lying about what's in the bill. Republican Senator Grassley just admitted there really was nothing in the bill about "death panels" despite his concern the days preceeding about death panels.

I just want to know what your plan is Reverend. I promised Pamela a long time ago I would be respectful of you. All I've seen from you sir is name calling and accusations of socialism and communism. The clergy can and does play an important role in American life. By reducing your argument to wild accusations you demean your entire profession.

Despite my sometimes irreverent humor, I share your faith Reverend and I hope your arguments raise the level of discussion. I don't recall Jesus calling anyone a communist in any of the Gospels.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Truth: It is true that Jesus never called anyone a communist.

But, you being a Christian and all, I guess you missed what Jesus said in Matthew 5:22 "But I say to you that ... whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell."

  7. I had to delete my last post because it was so filled with mistakes, it wasn't even funny!

Great post Pam! I too tire of the constant bickering. I think we use the term enemy too loosely. My enemy is someone that wants to hurt or kill me and as much as I don't like Obama, I don't think he wants to see me hurt or suffering. He has a vision of American and it doesn't match mine.

Politics can get heated. Two people with two very differing views of how they see the future of this country, can easily get into nasty debates that turn into name calling. I feel like we have been pulling for internet civility for the longest time and I wonder sometimes if the fight is futile.

Imagine how amazing this country could be if we could somehow come together on issues. I may be biting more off than I can chew with this statement, but I can't think of anything that cannot be solved with a little give and take from both sides. The problem is that they have to be willing. It's the all or nothing attitude that will leave us with a divided country with nothing. The only way we will grow and prosper as a nation is when we come together to find the best solution to each issue we face.

  10. Some of the comments make it look like you people didn't even read Pam's well thought out story! You're still bickering and name calling and placing blame. It was a good story with a good point and name calling and placing blame will not solve the current problem(s). It is a shame that the nation is divided and people are so angry and scared but we should be able to debate like reasonable rational people.

  13. YES, STOP THE PLANET!I WANT TO GET OFF ALSO!

With the like of people like this Truth101 on it, I gotta say that the planet has become a stink-fest.

Most all of my friends that are loyal Americans dislike Obama tremendously.

I don't like him as a person, and I like him even less as a president. I don't hate him, but I do hate him as a president.. . I I highly dislike his policies. And I think that the people that do like his policies are absolutely either nuts or true Communists.

I am just curious as to why so many Americans like this Truth101 like Obama so freaken much that they buy into everything he says and wants to do to hurt American and drag her down to his Socialist ways....
You know what they say— live with Dogs and you get fleas.
Why are you Lefterds so hung up on Obama’s so called “healthcare reform” which the government is hiding to impose on us all the socialization of healthcare. Why do you support it, if socialized medicine has failed so colossally anywhere on Earth it has been imposed or adopted?
Are you and your Lerfterd friends aware that just 23% of voters believe healthcare reform legislation will lower costs, while 53% believe it will lead to more expensive care. By a margin of 50% to 23%, voters believe that “reform” legislation will make the quality of care decline. Why are you and the White House rushing this bill through Congress and ignoring the concerns of the American people? And yet your “sickos” are still drinking the Kool-aide”.. And in this time of financial crisis why is Congress and the ahem “president” pushing through a healthcare bill that would cost another trillion dollars over the next ten years? Shouldn’t we concentrate on getting the debt under control first? It just don’t make any sense and it don’t fly in my book, but my book is a sensible book, not a book titled “How to lead a one time great country into socialism in 3 easy lessons!
And while you are at it Mr. Truth who thinks he knows that he’s talking about, but don’t know crap!.. Why is Congress specifically excluded from the healthcare reform bill? Is it that Congress is already positioning itself to become part of the nomenklatura — typical in socialist countries — that “change” is saddling us, We the People, with?
And why is it that the Lefturds are shoving this crap sandwich down the throats of 46 million people — including illegals — that don’t have health nor should they have

And also Mr. Truth, have you read the part about EUTHANASIA? This is the part that you should consider reading as it may come in handy for you some day.

BTW, Thank you Rev Gregori, for bringing some sense into this discussion. And for trying to enlighten these lefturd idiots.

Dissent is OK as long as you are a liberal Marxist. Otherwise, you are a racist extremist. As long as the cockroaches are in positions of power in DC, this will be the norm. Because of this we Must Crush the cockroaches beginning in 2010. And we can start be getting behind Glenn Beck. Don't the the Libs do to him what they did to Don Imus.

  15. Pam just wrote an amazing post about the need to be civil and that we have to stop this bickering and name calling. It appears like some of you didn't even read the post or if you did, you just don't give a crap, because you are doing exactly what she has tried so hard to stop.

You keep mentioning Truth but HE DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS CURRENT HEALTH BILL and has even said he supports different ideas that have been mentioned. Do any of you know that? Of course not because you are so busy with your bickering that you don't even stop to look. You just assume.

You know Pam, I am just so tired of this. It's ironic that the radical right accuse Obama of ruining the country and yet they don't see that by all this petty arguing we are dividing the country in half. We are not a country united, we are divided and eventually we will fall. Don't they realize that they are accomplishing nothing by this bickering. Our credibility dwindles with every aimless rant.

I really don't understand why we can't come together and find some common ground. It's not that hard if both parties are willing to work at it. It happened after 9-11, do you really want to have another one before we come together as a country should?

Let's examine these statements, Sarah G.

TRUTH and I have the right to blog about any subject we choose, and to say what we want. I visit the conservative blogs and read what they have to say, and it is all negative about Mr. Obama, liberals, and other rightwing issues. And many of those blog posts use nasty language and words to describe liberals.

Why do you feel it your duty to criticize liberals for what they blog about, but not your rightwing friends?

Also, Pam has asked us all to be respectful IN HER COMMENTS. Pam does not have any interest in telling anyone what they should write about on their own blogs.

It appears that it is you and your friends who are not adhering to what Pam has asked us to do.

And I challenge you to find the "hate" and "crap" you accuse me of posting on my blog.

What you are really talking about are posts you do not agree with, so you consider them hateful and crappy.

  19. In keeping with Pamela's original post, I didn't call Rev. Gregori any of my now famous signature catch phrases. I merely pointed out the names and descriptions he gave of President Obama and his administration. Out of respect for his profession I even acknoleged the importance of the clergy in American life.

Since then we've been treated to some of our right leaning friends calling us cockroaches. A guy asked if I had a Mohawk and said I was a nutjob. There were other attacks on me and Shaw, but I see no point in mentioning any more of them.

As I said earlier, I reply in kind. I'll take up the sword in defense of Jennifer and Pamela all day long against anyone I deem overly disrespectful to them. If anyone were overly disrespectful to the right leaning bloggers on my link list I don't care how he/she leans. I'll deal with them.

I've offered my ideas on a myriad of subjects. When others only make ridiculous accusations of socialism and offer no ideas of their own, as much as I would like to turn the other cheek, the sad fact is, I ran out of cheeks.

The health care system doesn't need the reactionary push that the obama administration is moving toward. Now they are using the death of kennedy as a rallying point. That, in itself, is statism. It's propaganda of the lowest form.

I have to say that they have all sides snowed on this one. While we argue, they try even more radical things to throw this dog off the nauseating scent of healthcare.

Now they are trying to beat down the CIA and make them more prominent in the headlines than the healthcare debacle. This will work against them and make not only obama look like a bigger fool than he already does, but his horse's patootie Atty Gen., eric "The Knife" holder will have to go.

The old man turned his ill gotten gains into legitimate investments, just like any smart hood would do. The whole family was set from then on. Now, with a gene pool that's as watered down as old Joe's scotch, maybe the media manufactured Camelot BS FINALLY comes to an end.

By the way, did the American's care at all about torture when Mary Jo was tortured waiting to die in that car?
She had enough air for about 40 minutes. Do we know if she was conscious? How dare these people who laud Kennedy forget about the torture he put her through.

As if Chappaquiddick were the only mistake he made!
Did you Yanks know that there was a request made by U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy to Soviet Premier Yuri Andropov offering his “assistance” in helping to prevent President Ronald Reagan from putting nukes into Europe? As far as Truth and Shaw go; They are respectful to me and other Conservatives that visit them. Why is it that Jennifer, Patrick, Tom the Redhunter, Law and Order Teacher, Gordon, Dmarks and I can visit their blogs and NOT be attacked?

Bob: You DO have the right to say what you want; but here on MY blog, please be respectful.

It Doesn’t Make Sense: No one here is calling you names. You have the right to speak your peace. I do think the Democrats will try to push this bill through as “The Ted Kennedy Bill” as part of Ted’s legacy. I hope they don’t. It should be a bill that is FAIR for ALL Americans. One that will BENEFIT ALL Americans. As it stands we don’t even have a bill to read. There are what, 3 or 4 bills right now? It is just so frustrating.

Blue: Join the club. It seems that some on the Right aren’t as loyal as they’d like us to believe, eh? But at least we still support each another.

What I don’t understand is this: Obama is being criticized for NOT reaching across the aisle to Republicans. Jennifer and I are reaching across the aisle to Liberals, yet we are being chastised for it. The double standards are mystifying.

Buttercup: Two wrongs do not make a right. Let us stand up with dignity and honor and not speak of such vile acts. Let us hope that those “hippies”, who performed such appalling deeds, once grown and matured, regretted them.

Arlington Cemetery is a sacred place for all who served and died for our country, not just for Ted Kennedy. Should you have the honor of visiting one day, just go and pray for those of your choice, Ted doesn’t have to be one of them.

Now that Edward Kennedy has died, the liberal establishment and its media acolytes have the onions in the handkerchiefs to orchestrate a show of grief over the loss of a “great leader”, as Barack Obama ludicrously termed this discredited playboy. No doubt the modernist Catholic Church in America will bury this indefatigable proponent of federally funded abortion with full honours. Despite his having led a life of extravagant degeneracy, the liberal “Catholic” caucus of the Pelosi/Biden orientation will fervently claim him as their own.
In Britain, Kennedy will be remembered for his championing of IRA terror, on the same knee-jerk anti-British principles that inspired his father, Ambassador Joseph Kennedy, to support Hitler. Yet Kennedy was awarded an honorary knighthood, just as America gave him its Presidential Medal of Freedom. What for? For being a Kennedy, or for the BIG endorsement? Of course it was for the BIG endorsement... The Kennedy humbug was incisively deflated by a Republican bumper sticker that memorably claimed: “More people were killed at Chappaquiddick than at Three Mile Island”. Another succinctly said: “No one drowned at Watergate”.

  36. Edward 'Ted' Kennedy stood for sleaze. Bloated and drunken, he used his standing in the Kennedy clan to chase vulnerable women - which brought his dream of reaching the White House to a shameful end.

He was the youngest of the four Kennedy brothers, and by far the longest lived.

Incredibly, he was in line to inherit his brother John F. Kennedy's legendary presidency, but his chances were dashed following the drowning of the pretty, young campaign assistant Mary Jo Kopechne.
Forever known as the Chappaquiddick Incident after the Massachusetts island where it took place, the scandal in 1969 broke the Kennedy grip on the White House.

A drunk Ted had been driving back from a party to the family 'compound' on Martha's Vineyard when he veered off a bridge and into a deep tidal dyke.
Drowned: Mary Jo Kopechne was killed after Ted Kennedy drove his car off a bridge with her inside

Drowned: Mary Jo Kopechne was killed after Ted Kennedy drove his car off a bridge with her inside

Mary Jo was in the back seat and, while he claimed he was just giving her a lift back to her hotel, it was widely thought that he had picked her up for sex. Kennedy swam ashore to save himself, but left Mary Jo to drown - in fact, it was even worse than that.

It was nine hours before he reported the accident. In the meantime, he walked back to his motel, complained to the manager about a noisy party, took a shower, went to sleep, ordered newspapers when he woke up and spoke to a friend and two lawyers before finally calling the police.

Divers later estimated that if he had called them immediately, they would have had time to pull out Mary Jo. She had not drowned, but had survived in an air pocket inside the car - she was asphyxiated only when the oxygen ran out several hours later.

As always, Ted used the family name to save his neck. In any other state but Massachusetts, the Kennedys' home turf, and with any other name, he would have been charged with homicide.

Instead, he escaped with a slap on the wrist: a two-year suspended sentence and the loss of his driving licence for a year. He had been allowed to plead guilty to no more than the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
At the height of the scandal, Kennedy went on TV to explain himself in an extraordinary 13-minute address in which he denied driving drunk and rejected rumours of
    'immoral conduct' with Kopechne.

He said he was haunted by 'irrational' thoughts immediately after the accident, and wondered 'whether some awful curse did actually hang over all the Kennedys'.

He said his failure to report the accident right away was 'indefensible'.

Yet the tragedy and his actions appalled millions of Americans, and still does..
Ted Kennedy is the poster child for the Americans who have recently attended the "tea parties" and town hall meetings. Politics in OUR country is now dominated by dispicable people which would include Kennedy and all of the far left screwballs.

  42. Truth: It happens in our neck of the woods too, not just the political arena. Someone dies and people tend to think of the good not the bad. It’s out of respect for the deceased. It’s not that anyone truly “forgot” the misdeed, or whatever you want to call it; it’s just respectful to the family members who are mourning. Ted Kennedy was no saint. But he was a son, brother, husband, uncle and father and he left behind people who DID love him, and they are sad. Regardless of his past, they LOVED him. It’s the same for us “normal” citizens, too. Why can’t people understand that? We are human, and we all have faults, some worse than others, yes. But again, he who is without sin, cast that first stone.

  43. Yeah James, I know what the post was about and I read it.

If people want to discuss current events and the administrator doesn't disagree...I mean, after all, this is her blog, not yours.

For better or for worse (I think better) Pam's blog has become one of two de-facto blogs that get both sides discussing and venting. I think that's a good thing even though some would disagree. The other is T101's site.

I don't think that kennedy should be hammered this much, but at the same time I don't think that he really did that much good, either.

As one blogger said at my blog: He had 47 years to push his healthcare throgh, who you gonna blame?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Blue: It's okay if people want to disagree about Ted Kennedy, considering they want to name the Health Care bill after him. What I MIND is the disgusting comments made about him. Was the man a saint? No. But I certainly don’t want all those despicable comments written on MY blog. Disagree about him in a mature, civil manner (not referring to you) and the comments won’t go into the trash can. I’ve said it before; I have a niece and nephew that read my blog and I REFUSE to allow them to read such profanity!

Well Pam, they are what they are.

The "disgusting comments" made about him. Are only because he was a disgusting person.

  46. Beemdub: You did NOT read my rules. Or you just want to be nasty. Please do not come back until you can behave yourself and actually contribute something useful to the topic. Thank you.

  47. The "disgusting comments" made about him. Are only because he was a disgusting person.

Elmer’s Brother: That is a personal opinion. I’m not a fan of Ted’s. But there are people out there who are. And out of respect for his family, who DID love him, I think it is honorable NOT to malign him, especially on the day of his burial. I know I wouldn’t want people to debase someone I loved. Would you?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would prefer no more comments about Ted Kennedy from here on out.

I don’t care how well thought out or written the comment, either. I do NOT want to hear anything else about Senator Kennedy.

    Thank you very much.

    ReplyDelete
  49. You, Senator Kennedy, are the slime and detritus of fish shit and flotsam that collects on the stones sitting at the bottom of the Chappaquiddick brine.

And you, Bash Ironfist, will never be remembered by millions of people as a great American.

Senator Kennedy, on the other hand, will.

Your hate filled screed means nothing and amounts to less.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ooooohhhh.....

I thought Pam said to stop that Kennedy stuff. But shaw had to carry it out. You rebel.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Blue: Shaw isn’t to blame. She was only responding to the two ignorant men who came on here and purposely ignored my request to not post about Senator Kennedy.

Let’s see, there was Bash Ironfist, who specifically asked me to let him have the last word so that he could post some of the most vile, disgusting words I have ever read. Then there was the Guy from Brooklyn who also chose to ignore my request, although his comment wasn’t as severe.

You know, Blue, as a Lady accustomed to the men in my life treating me with respect and dignity, I’m appalled. I just don’t understand why some of these people, and from our own party no less, are purposely treating me with such disdain! It is quite disheartening.

  52. Just for the record, Pam. I did not say anywhere that I would never come here. As you can see, mine was the first comment posted.

I support what you're trying to do.

WHAT? Shaw Kenawe WAS LYING WHEN SHE said THAT!!
    Who is she kidding?
I saw that comment myself it was on this thread, but now it seems to be CONVENIENTLY deleted.

  54. Shaw: I know that. And there are others who support me, too. But it’s painfully obvious who does NOT, and I don’t need trouble makers. I thought I was dealing with adults, I was wrong. Since I’m dealing with children, I’ll treat them as such, I’ll MONITOR them.

    ReplyDelete
  55. MONITORING your commenter's comments will make people reluctant to post here. People want to see and know that what they bothered to write will get posted.
Do not let a few unruly people or a few liberal cry babies change the way YOU want your blog to be.
This is what the Liberals count on.
Censorship is their name and game.
The left wingers have absolutely no sense of right from wrong. So don't let people like SHAW guide you.
Think for yourself like a proud Conservative, no like a cowardly Liberal.
    That's my two cents..

Pam I do not believe that they are "treating you" with disdain at all.

It is the subject that has these people so passionate that they write what they do. So please do not that this personally. These comment are not are all aimed at you.
For me, I personally am also disgusted at the way the liberals are displaying Ted Kennedy's death into a Saint.
You and I know better and so do all these people that are just voicing their frustrated opinions.
Trying to make Kennedy a martyr for health reform??? Does anyone actually think that will help the passage of the legislation?
And if if does then God help us from what's yet to come.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion.

  57. Agree about some of it. Alot of it, though is dishonesty on the part of shaw that has people coming here.

Like I said earlier, it's your space.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I’m Always Right: It’s not “conveniently” deleted. It’s under the “Realty Check” topic, where there are over 200 comments, so it’s probably hard to find. Shaw said, I've enjoyed to a degree reading some of the comments here, but I will not continue to participate. She didn’t use the word “never,” and she was referring to THAT topic.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Elmer’s Brother: Not all of my posts will be “monitored”, only this one, because some people have refused to follow my simple request and not post about Ted Kennedy.

You are also mistaken if you think it’s the Left that is giving me problems. It’s the Right, my own party. I have been deleting numerous comments by Conservatives. That is what I am so downhearted.

I’m also not sure why you think Shaw has something to do with this or my blog. I take no guidance from anyone in running my blog. I am a not sheep. I am getting major flack for having Liberal friends. If I were concerned with conformity I wouldn’t have them as friends, now would I? If the Right can’t accept that I am truly open-minded, then I guess they will have to go elsewhere; because I’m not about to change for anyone.

I AM a proud Conservative Lady, who stands by her convictions and beliefs and I will NOT permit anyone to tell me how to run my blog—from the Left or the Right! You either like me or you don’t. It’s pretty cut and dried, as far as I’m concerned.

I show respect to EVERYONE. But I’ve seen over the last month or so that it most certainly does NOT go both ways

  60. An American: I understand passion. I understand anger. But when a person specifically asks for a topic not to be posted about, then that should be respected. There have been numerous comments that I have had to delete, because people purposely ignored my polite requests. If that is not disdain, I don’t know what is. If these people dislike Senator Kennedy, that’s fine. Post about him on their own blog. I don’t want to read about him on MY blog.

My topic was hi-jacked and I’m supposed to believe it was out of what…respect to me? No, it was out of rudeness. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, either. I’m tired of people being so ignorant and nasty.

    America isn’t ugly, Americans ARE.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Blue: Personally I have not experienced any dishonesty from Shaw. I don’t believe Jennifer, Dmarks, Gordon and Patrick have either, or they would stop posting there.

And I would hope that people come here because they like to read my commentary, not just because they want to bash Shaw or other Liberals. THAT would be truly unfortunate.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yeah. And your right, of course. You want to practice certain civilities. I think we've been down this road before, haven't we?

Not a problem for me at all. I started out that way, so I'll end it with a thank you for letting me hang out here.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I think you check out "rules for radicals" by Saul Alinsky. The new left is not about debate, exchange of ideas, or finding solutions. They are about overpowering those that disagree with them or get in their way. There is no more debate with these "Elitist Intellectuals".

No Pamela, it is not the people on the left that are so mean and hateful. If you look at these posters you will find that it's the people on the Right, yest the so call goody two shoes republicans/conservatives. They are the Kennedy bashers and they are the Shaw and Truth bashers. They just can't get used to the fact that their Bushie is no longer in charge. So they take it out on all liberals.
Well it's just too damn bad. Live with it! It' our turn now, for the next 7 1/2 years.

  65. They tried to drive Shaw off the blogesphere, and now they are doing the same thing to you. All because you have compassion. Some thing they don't know anything about.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I thought that I wrote something else here earlier.

Anyway, I'm glad that this site exists and I hope the name callers stop.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Lynne: It is not EVERYONE on the Right just as it was not EVERYONE on the Left when Bush was in office. I have found that there are angry, nasty people on BOTH sides. I’m not sure what causes this anger, but it sure is sad.

I think you gave me a compliment. Thank you. Yes, I am compassionate, as is Shaw, and many others that I’ve come to know here in the blogosphere. It’s the angry ones that I can’t seem to take anymore. If they want civil discourse, I’m here. But I will not tolerate anymore vile, disgusting rants.

  68. I don't think that Obama is a moron, he's a lot of things, but he's not stupid.

One thing i will say, i don't see the left and the right as equal or two equal sides. This is because to me, the left want to get in my face and in my life. I don't want to get in theirs, i just want them out of mine.
