Blogging Is In My Blood!

Over and over I’m proven that time DOES fly, whether I’m having fun or not. The crises I’ve had in the past month, which veered me off course and away from the blogosphere and interrupted my normal routine and consequently my blogging schedule, are just proof that if I don’t stay focused I’ll adapt to something mundane and unacceptable. I say that because I found myself longing for my mornings at the keyboard, reading the blogs in the community, researching, expressing my opinion and writing my pieces--as few as they were. I knew that I enjoyed blogging when I lay in bed each night, exhausted, yet my racing mind would think that even the most idiotic, cookie-cutter blog would’ve been a welcome respite!

During these last few weeks I recognized that not only writing, which I already knew was in my blood, but the blogosphere AND politics are now infectiously running rampant through my veins as well. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad because I don’t know if my little niche in the sphere makes a difference. Heck, I’m not even sure if anyone’s voice makes much of a difference. And quite frankly, I’m not sure at this point if I even care. My only concern is that I write what’s in my head, heart, and soul, because it screams to be expressed and when you have a voice THAT loud, you HAVE to convey it. It’s just that simple.

I know there will always be a crisis to manage in my life; after all, that is what has molded me into the person I am today and that is what will shape who I become tomorrow. I don’t have any fantasies that my life will be easy, as it hasn’t been up to this point, so I have no illusions that it will change. My only wish is that I can pass on what I’ve learned to others, like my sons, so that they will be more prepared when they enter this ever-changing and uncertain world and make better choices and maybe even help create a brighter tomorrow.

In closing, I’ve missed this wondrous place we refer to as the Blogosphere—this amazing space that technology has created so that we Bloggers are able to come together and share ideas, opinions, feelings, and yes, even argue a little. And NO, my views on internet civility have NOT changed. I STILL believe whole-heartedly that–We can disagree with dignity.

So, hello Everyone, I’m back and I’ve missed you.

  1. Well, I for one have missed you. I hope everything is returning to some state of normal for you. I was about to post about you, but you seem to be intuitive enough to know what I was thinking.

Glad to have you back sweetie.

  3. Good to see you back- and yes EVERY voice makes a difference... Rational and respected disagreement however, seems to be lacking anymore... :-(

  5. I too, have been not blogging for a while, for a different reason than you, I hope.
I've had a lot of time to sit with my own thoughts. Thoughts uninterrupted by inane criticisms of those who think I should think like them.
It's a personal, alone experience to think and write one's own thoughts; but share them, publish them, then you experience a different kind of personal experience.
Of course one chooses to expose there thoughts and opinions. Seeking reactions from agreement to being told your nuts.
I'm all for everything I wrote above and enjoy blogging for those reasons, unfortunately I have found a level of immaturity higher than I expected, especially given the supposed adult ages of these bloggers.
Too many times it's more like Junior High School antics, and I include some of your readers in that behavior, because of their negative reactions to my simply expressing my opinion.
It's a compliment to you, that so many read and comment on your blog; but I don't envy you the childish conversations that occur.
If you were not so good, it would never happen. It never happens on my blog.
Keep blogging, your great. Looking forward to the next 250 count comment section, knock down, drag out, freedom of expressions.

  7. We can get it rockin' & rolling again with this one. McChrystal, despite what folks feel about Obama he had to go.

  8. Definitely glad to see you back. Too many keyboards have been silent recently. Like mine.

Now I have another blog I can't wait to read (assuming I don't get out of the habit again).

  9. Add my voice to the "Welcome Back" chorus, Pam.

  10. I'm thrilled you're back and hope that life has returned to a stae of normalcy and that all is well. Maybe the one thing liberals and conservatives can agree on is that we love to blog and we love our Pam. Missed you, gal.

  11. Must've been a good period of time to be away from blogging... I kinda did the same for the last several weeks... (and I'm not even sure I'm back yet, though I have done a few posts of late.)

Anyway... welcome back, and have a most happy 4th!!

  12. Hi there

I was about to email you to see if you were okay. Then you left a comment on my blog so I knew you were at least alive. Glad to have you back. Sometimes stuff just happens and suddenly you realize that you've been in another hemisphere for about a month. Happens to all of us.

    Love

    Granny

  14. Glad to see you back. Blogging is an addiction, but it is an addiction we can use more of.

When one Conservative stops blogging, it emboldens the left.
