Did Hillary Lie Under Oath?

Well, it looks like there’s going to be further investigating to see if they can put Hillary behind bars, charge her a fine, or at the very least, derail her campaign.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz asked FBI Director James Comey if Hillary Clinton lied under oath. Comey said she did not lie to the FBI. But upon further questioning by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) it’s plain to see they are digging into the Benghazi hearing. Chaffetz is going to get a referral from Congress to investigate her statements while under oath then. As a matter of fact, Chaffetz said the FBI would have it in a few hours.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a fan of Hillary’s, but this is getting ridiculous. Our tax dollars are paying for all these hearings, etc., and I personally don’t think they will “get” Hillary in the end. Now, is it hurting her campaign? Possibly. I’ve spoken to quite a few life-long Democrats and they will not vote for her. Some are even voting Republican for the first time in their lives.

That just goes to show the state of our country. People aren’t willing to vote for the lying-scheming Hillary but will vote for the lying-egocentric Trump.

My gawd, this is a disaster.

    1. IMO, I don't trust Hillary, therefore I think when it comes out, it will show she did lie under oath. But like her husband, she'll get away with it.

  2. There is no way anything will happen to any of the clintons. Once BHO said -H- will not be indicted it should have been dropped because everyone had their marching orders.
It was just a coincidence that bill met with the AG and then she said she would accept the FBI's directive. Within a week the FBI director said -H- compromised our security on over a hundred occasions but she did nothing wrong except being incompetent. There are so many ghosts in the clinton crime family closet that have been passed over that it is clear nothing will happen.
State troopers mysteriously running into trees and sexual assault victims because referred to as sluts.
They should get do commercials for DuPont and endorse Teflon because nothing sticks.
As to Trump my attitude is anyone but -H-.

    1. Skudrunner, the Clintons do have a long history of shady dealings and happenings. All of which were "logically" explained. And it's very sad that they can be above the law. No one should be.

    1. IMO, I have no problems with Shaw and she has no problem with me. We both respect one another's positions as well as respecting each other.

  4. Pamela: ...at the very least, derail her campaign.

Right. That was what ALL of the "investigating" of Hillary Clinton has always been about.

Pamela: ...it's very sad that they can be above the law. No one should be.

What about the Congressional Republicans "investigating" Hillary Clinton to derail her campaign? Which is ILLEGAL!

Federal law and Senate Rules prohibit the use of Senate facilities and resources for campaign and political activities. (citing Senate R. 41.1, 31 U.S.C. § 1301(a), 18 U.S.C. § 601-07)... Source.

I predict, however, that they will get away with it. It's very sad that they (Congressional Republicans) can be above the law. No one should be.

    1. Dervish, like all other accusations about past Republican Presidents and Republican Senators and Congressmen, if they have broken the law, then the Democrats should do something about it. I have NO problem with any politician, Left or Right, going to jail for breaking the law.

You need to understand something about me, I will not defend our politicians like they're my family members. I don't give a rats butt if every one of them is behind bars. Actually, I think we'd be better off!

  5. In law truth doesn't matter. Only what you can prove in court does. All politicians know this. Nothing HRC has been accused of can be proven criminal. Case closed.

    Time to move on.

BTW, if Trump gets elected (he won't) prepare to witness extreme unethical behavior.

    1. RN, you are exactly right. In law, only proof and facts matter.

I do think he'll get elected, RN. And I agree we'll have even more unethical behavior. Our country is sorely lacking in ethics.

  6. It's silly. Comey doesn't need a Congressional referral to ask (investigate) that question. He purposely did not ask her anything that did not directly pertain to the email problem. If he wanted to indict her on the emails, he had plenty of reason to. It was a judgment call that could have gone either way. Prosecutors make those calls everyday and guilty people go free.

"but will vote for the lying-egocentric Trump."
So have you decided to vote for Trump? Will his VP pick make any difference to you?
Sticking with my convictions, I will not vote. I can't vote for either of them. No matter who wins, when they screw it up, I can claim no responsibility. And no, I don't see a no vote as giving up my right to complain about whoever is president.

    1. TOM, it seems, by the line of questioning by Trey Gowdy, they are leaning toward the Benghazi hearing.

I will not vote for Hillary, TOM, but I haven't decided if I can pull the lever for Trump yet. And yes, his VP pick will make a difference. I read Trump has said he wants Trey Gowdy for AG. I like that pick. But it still hasn't gotten me off the fence.

It's good to stick to your convictions. But I'm extremely concerned with the Supreme Court. We have one to be replaced and could have up to 4 more in the next 4-8 years.

      Such a conundrum!

    2. Yes, I've thought about that.
If Hillary wins, I think Ginsberg will submit her resignation.
The conundrum gets worse depending on who gets majority and who wins the White House. So many variables. Public outcry will force a vote no matter what happens.

    3. Actually, I agree with TOM (shudder).

Aside from that the idea of a "Trump" Court is like ice water in the veins. IOW; it is the worst possible scenario. IMO.

  7. Trey Gowdy is one of those who are breaking the law "investigating" HRC to derail her campaign (and wasting millions of taxpayer dollars in the process). So... AG or sent to jail? You did just say you'd have no problem with that.

BTW, I've heard that Trump is going to select Mike Pence as his running mate.

As for TOM not voting... sounds in line with the sentiments expressed on his Stay A While blog (where he wrote about his disappointment with Obama). Were you a Bernie supporter, TOM?

    1. Pence is likely the least likely pick. Trump wants a pit bull on the campaign trail. Newt or Christie are more likely I think.

      Trey Gowdy? Holding nose.

    2. Dervish, if Gowdy is breaking the law, then there needs to be a trial. Isn't that how it works? We can assume all we want that this is a political witch hunt (no pun), but with no facts or proof, he's not guilty of anything.

We'll find out about Trump's VP soon enough!

  10. Pamela: if Gowdy is breaking the law, then there needs to be a trial. Isn't that how it works? ...with no facts or proof, he's not guilty of anything.

The proof is that they've already admitted it. Anyway, Gowdy innocent unless trial proves otherwise, but Hillary guilty even if FBI says she did not break the law?

That Republicans manufacture fake scandals reflects badly on them, not Hillary Clinton.

    See the word "his"

    It's a lie.
The least you could do was to post my reply and denial. I guess I was wrong about you. Now I understand some of the things people have been saying about you.

  12. Right, after the fact honey. Enjoy yourselves believing you are honest. No sense trying to discuss issues with people who post lies, then play games about it.

  13. TOM, I don't need your condescending attitude.
I have tons of ignorant, insulting and disgusting comments in my moderation box from someone by the name of Luke.
Instead of assuming someone's trying to screw you over, how about assume your comments were missed. That's what an honorable person would do.
If you don't want to come back, that's fine, have a good life. I really don't have time for such negative people.
