Nancy Pelosi - Stupidity At Its Finest
Nancy Pelosi is at it again.
And I think that, so many times, white, non-college-educated white males have voted Republican. They voted against their own economic interests because of guns, because of gays, and because of God, the three G’s, God being the woman’s right to choose. -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to Judy Woodruff in an interview Wednesday.
Well, Nancy, I know so many white, college-educated males who have voted Republican because it was for their economic interests.
And Nancy, abortion isn’t a religion.
My goodness this woman needs to think before she speaks.
Like when she said unemployment benefits were the biggest stimulus for the economy. No, Nancy, jobs are the biggest stimulus for the economy.
Or the time she said we have to pass the ACA bill to find out what’s in it!
Again, no, Nancy, we pay you and your fellow politicians a lot of money to read the friggin’ bills before they’re passed. Do your job.
Nancy Pelosi, the gift that keeps on giving.
Giving us a load of crap for decades, that is.

Drop The Sexist Card
The author in this piece seems to think if people won’t vote for Hillary, they are sexist. Or at the very least, not willing to give her credit for succeeding in a man’s world and breaking the glass ceiling.
I say it’s because Hillary’s true colors have come out and both Left and Right find her dismal.
To say she is the same as Al Gore and John Kerry by receiving millions in campaign contributions is just false. When Gore ran for president in 2000 and Kerry ran in 2004, there wasn’t any reason to believe they were Big Bank leeches. But when the bank crisis of 2008 – 2009 came to light, we ordinary Americans opened our eyes and started paying attention to whom was getting Big Bank bucks.
Hillary touted she was going to crack down on Wall Street and make Big Banks pay. They have paid. They paid her millions in speaking fees. She’s not against Wall Street and Big Banks. She’s in the same league and has no problem accepting their money. If she truly felt they were out of control, she’d hold to her convictions and not accept a penny.
She may not have committed a crime with her personal server and emails, but she most definitely proved she’s not qualified to be POTUS. Many have touted her many years in public office as a Governor’s First Lady, First Lady of the United States, a New York Senator and Secretary Of State. But if she was so qualified, then she wouldn’t have had a personal server in her house and she wouldn’t have scrubbed the server. Ignorance to the law is no excuse and ignorance in Hillary’s case disqualifies her.
As far as Colin Powell doing the same thing, that’s false. He didn’t have a personal server in his house. Hillary Clinton did. Colin Powell didn’t destroy or take state department emails. Hillary didn’t take them, she had her server scrubbed clean. Colin Powell didn’t send classified emails. He sent a couple personal emails using his state department email account. Hillary Clinton sent and received over 100 classified emails. It’s not the same and I’m really tired of So and So did it! That is just a poor excuse when you have nothing in your defense arsenal.
Not voting for Hillary Clinton isn’t about her gender. It’s about her past and how she’s handled herself throughout her political career. She’s part of the establishment (even though she claims she’s an outsider).
But let’s face it, our politicians, not just Hillary Clinton, have become the most corrupt people in our country (media aside). They have lied to us, cheated us, stolen from us, and they’ve all done it for their own personal and political gain. There are very few on the hill that I am proud of or consider honest.
This election cycle, in my opinion, is proving to be the most disappointing with two candidates who have less integrity in both their bodies than I have in my right pinky.

Hillary Is Not The Most Qualified
After a year-long investigation into Hillary Clinton’s personal server and emails, and Comey coming out to say they won’t recommend charges against her, we’re still hearing people trying to justify what Hillary did.
Powell and Rice both used personal emails, is one excuse, as if that makes Hillary’s conduct A-Okay. That’s just a poor excuse. We should really stop trying to justify one person’s unacceptable actions by another’s unacceptable actions.
And no one, I mean no one, should be exempt from the law and anyone in a top security position should never put our national security in jeopardy.
And no one, I mean no one, should be exempt from the law and anyone in a top security position should never put our national security in jeopardy.
For the record, though, according to the FBI, neither Powell nor Rice had a personal server in their house—they both used government servers. Powell received two classified emails and apparently Rice didn’t receive any—her immediate staff, however, received ten.
Hillary had at least one hundred thirteen. And she claimed they weren’t classified at the time they were sent. FBI forensics found that one hundred ten of them were classified at the time of sending and they were included in the 30,000 emails Hillary turned over. But three others had been deleted. Forensics found and recovered them and they were also classified at the time of sending.
Is Hillary a liar or stupid?
Either way, she’s unqualified to be President of the United States.
We need integrity back in our political affairs. We need honest people. People with good character. But here we are with our general election likely being Trump vs. Clinton.
Again, we get to choose between the worse of the two evils.
This country needs help.

Polls & Surveys Are Untrustworthy
I received a survey call this evening. The caller asked if I would participate by answering 6 to 8 quick questions.
I agreed.
The first question was, “Do you have a favorable or unfavorable view of Hillary Clinton?”
I answered, “Unfavorable.”
Guess he didn’t like that answer, because he hung up.
That’s why I don’t trust surveys or polls. I think the surveying companies will call until they get what they consider the right answer. And all the people they spoke to who didn’t answer correctly, won’t be counted, which of course will skew the results.
So all the polls out there now on the election are BS, in my opinion.
I’ll wait until the votes are counted but in the back of my mind, I’ll wonder how much cheating went on.
It’s really sad that I’ve become so skeptical.

Stimulus Deja Vu

Here we go again! Obama wants to stimulate the economy and create jobs with…yep you guessed it, STIMULUS! And we know how well THAT worked in 2009! Those Shovel Ready jobs weren’t as shovel ready as they expected, we found out two years later, although, those of us on the Right knew they weren’t, but hey, why listen to us, we only wanted jobs created by the private sector, not TAX dollars.
And that’s what Obama is proposing now…or so the “leaked” info says.
According to the information “leaked” to the press, once President Obama returns to the White House after his vacation, he’s going to propose targeted tax breaks for companies that hire, mortgage relief for struggling homeowners and infrastructure deals…um didn’t we do that in 2009? Wasn’t that part of the almost one trillion in so-called stimulus?
This is dĂ©jĂ vu! And it’s going to be dĂ©jĂ vu all over again with results. We NEED private sector jobs, NOT jobs created by tax dollars. Even Jan Schakowsky’s (D-ILL) plan to create 2.2 million School Improvement, Parks Improvement and Rehab and Weatherize jobs over two years are STILL tax dollars (even if they are millionaire tax dollars) and it’s NOT cheaper, as she claims. It’s cheaper to pay unemployment. Furthermore, her calculation of $227 Billion is most likely under calculated, as we’ve found over the decades, government always UNDER estimates!
Besides, spending money we do NOT have to supposedly stimulate our economy isn’t economically smart. These so-called Shovel Ready or School Improvement Corps jobs are just fancy names for Tax Payer Temporary jobs. When the bridges, parks, schools and homes are fixed, the jobs are DONE and those people will be out of work yet again and back on the unemployment line. We need the private sector to create jobs which will sustain their employees for the long-haul, not just six months or a year. We need long-term permanent jobs and those can be found in the private sector.
Government incentives aren’t the answer, as they end up costing us tax payers. We need growth, as both sides agree, but the conundrum is HOW we get that growth. The Left says the stimulus from 2009 wasn’t big enough. I have to respectfully disagree. Had we spent two trillion dollars and shoveled more money into the system, those Shovel Ready jobs still would’ve ended, thus driving those people back to the unemployment lines, albeit a little later, but there nonetheless.
The only way the private sector is going to hire is if they have sound reason. Right now business owners aren’t feeling secure. They are hoarding trillions of dollars because they don’t trust this administration with things like Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, the threat of higher taxes and more and more regulations being imposed which impedes them and their cost to do business, thus costing them money, hence reducing their bottom line. Let’s face it, there is no company open to be charitable or noble, except charitable associations! Businesses are in it for the bottom line, i.e. PROFIT!
They are the engines of our economy and they need oiled, not demonized and certainly not taxed to the hilt. Besides, our officials should be balancing our budget, not implementing more and more regulations which impede business or drive it off our shores! They should also be going after fraud and abuse within the existing programs and cutting everything that is unnecessary, but they are busy vilifying the other side, STILL pointing fingers and casting blame, and frivolously spending our money. None of which will get us off the edge of the cliff.
I’m sick and tired of politics as usual and really wish we’d get people who would implement some real change. I want to stay optimistic, but quite frankly, I’m beginning to lose faith.

They’re OUR Seats!
As many of us are aware, the Massachusetts’ Senate seat, which was vacated after Senator Ted Kennedy passed away, has become quite a heated race between Martha Coakley[D] and Scott Brown[R]. I have no real dog in this race so I haven’t been following it and I have no idea what the candidate’s ideals are, other than their party affiliation. Although, I did hear this from their most recent debate:
I have to admit that I was impressed with how Brown handled this question. Because he’s 100% correct! It’s NOT the Democrat’s seat; it’s NOT Ted Kennedy’s seat, even though he occupied it for 47 years; it IS the People’s seat.
Look at it this way. Obama’s not in Bush’s seat; Bush wasn’t in Clinton’s seat. The Presiden't seat is the PEOPLE'S seat!
As I said, I was impressed with Brown’s response. I’ve been saying for awhile now that we need MORE men and women representing us in the House AND the Senate who believe as Brown does. It’s the PEOPLE’S House; it’s the PEOPLE’S Senate; therefore they are the PEOPLES’ seats, hence, they are there for us—the PEOPLE. If we had more officials who possessed this type of mentality OUR country wouldn’t be in this current mess. Our officials are there to serve US, not themselves; not big business; not lobbyists. They have a duty to US and the sooner we elect honorable men and women to OUR seats, the faster we will have a country that better reflects our ideals and beliefs.
Politicians aren’t Gods, they are people, just like you and me, and they should be people who will reflect what We the People need and want. The elitist mentality needs to be abolished and be replaced with integrity, honesty and good character—something that has been sorely lacking in the last few decades.

A Letter to Uncle Sam*
Dear Uncle Sam,
I know you’re busy, what with all your other nieces and nephews; but I wanted to write to let you know that lately, you’ve been on my mind and I’m compelled to write you. And you know me, when I’m compelled; nothing short of a natural disaster will dissuade me. Must’ve inherited that from dear old dad, eh?
The reason for my letter is really rather simple. I want to express my deepest appreciation to you of course, and all my other Aunts and Uncles there on Capitol Hill. I apologize for not getting up there for a visit. Working, raising children, taking care of ailing family members, my own health issues and other day to day activities just doesn’t leave much time for leisurely activities or vacations. Not to mention the expense. Gas, food, utilities, taxes, oh and my not getting a raise in awhile has left us cutting back in quite a few areas, so we can’t vacation again this year. Maybe next year, if this recession lets up. I hope you’re not too disappointed.
But I digressed. I want to say thank you, Uncle Sam. Thank you for all you’ve done for so many of my fellow Americans. Without you I don’t know where they’d be. You’ve made it possible for millions of people to survive! They have roofs over their heads, televisions with cable to watch the happenings in this great nation, utilities to keep them warm in the winter and cool in the summer, cell phones to call the authorities in case of an emergency, you provide them with down payments for cars so they can get to the grocery store where they can use the money you send them to purchase food or nonessentials like soda pop, cookies and chips and you provide them with free health care when they are sick or have an accident. You are so benevolent and selfless. My heart just swells when I think of all the compassionate things you do for so many who won’t do for themselves.
I also feel the necessity to thank you for the regulations and policies you’ve set for us Americans. We wear seat belts because you tell us it’s safe and if we don’t we pay a fine. That’s a good law, because we’re not intelligent enough to do this on our own. We have fire safety cigarettes now because we’re not responsible enough to make sure our cigarettes are snuffed out and our houses could burn down. This is such a relief. But, even if our house did burn down, you made sure we have rules in place that require home owner’s insurance because we aren’t smart enough to know this is a wise investment when we have a home, with or without a mortgage. I’m also relieved that you made laws to ensure we pay our taxes, even though many Aunts and Uncles on Capitol Hill, who are experts on the tax laws or even wrote them, hiccup or don’t understand the very codes they’ve written, don’t pay them. It’s an oversight, I’m sure, since Capitol Hill is such a busy place with so many so concerned with the welfare of us Americans. For example, when you give each other pay raises in the middle of the night while I’m sleeping. It’s so considerate of you not to bother me with such petty things like increasing your salaries while mine stay stagnant. After all, I’m taking sleeping pills to try and sleep because I’m under so much stress due to the stock market crash and losing half my retirement and wondering how I’m going to put your grandnephews through college now or just worrying if I’ll even have a job tomorrow. It’s nice to know you have my back. I’m sure the rest of my fellow Americans are just as grateful. Being an American is, nevertheless, being compassionate, and if we can’t take care of our Aunts and Uncles in Congress, then who can we take care of, right?
I mean the least we can do is provide you with 175K a year salary, pensions for life, a fleet of vehicles that resemble a Mercedes dealership, first class air fare, your own cafeterias, paid vacations at Resorts while you discuss the Nation’s business or have classes on how to cut out unnecessary expenditures or wasteful spending and SS benefits even if you don’t pay into the fund. You are after all, public servants and should receive any and all benefits from the public!
Sometimes, Uncle Sam, I’m at a loss for words. There is just too much I want to say to you and not enough time or paper to express it all. But I want to say one last thing. I sure hope you can get that health care program passed. I know you said it would compete with private insurance. But I know you, Uncle, once you get involved in something it’s ALL or nothing. You’ll start out insuring the so-called “uninsured” for now, but before we know it, you’ll have EVERYONE insured! You’re amazing like that you know! You write those long thousand page bills that we average Americans can barely understand and you don’t even expect us to. It’s so thoughtful of you to not want us to waste our time, due to the busy lives we lead, to worry about what’s shoved into those monstrous amendments. I just hope the health care bill will tell me what I should eat, when I should exercise and I sure hope it taxes fast food places like McDonald’s and all those horrible sugary drinks and any food that is bad for me. I also hope you will make sure that anyone who doesn’t take care of himself, as you deem appropriate, and is obese or drinks alcohol or smokes, goes to the end of the line when trying to get doctors’ appointments or medical help. And I’m confident you’ll make sure senior citizens will pass a test before they drain our health care system. After all, they’ve lived long lives already and should be cared for after the young. But I’m certain you have this already figured out and I have no need for trepidation. The health care bill will probably pass like the stimulus, speedy-quick and without anyone reading it and it will have other items included which have absolutely nothing to do with health care. But why should I worry? You’re all so honest and you were placed in Congress to take care of me and my fellow Americans; to do what we want; so I should be able to rest peacefully…
Sincerely,
Your Niece

Coffee, Tea, Vote for Me or NOT
Yesterday thousands of Americans gathered all over the country for Tea Parties to protest our Government. Yesterday was also the dreaded Tax Day; however, the Tea Parties weren’t just about taxes. Americans protested about many things. Taxes, large government, the stimulus bill, the cuts in defense spending, pork barrel spending, the deficit, entitlements, bailouts and the list goes on depending on whom you talk to.
The Tea Parties were organized by individuals all over the country. Those individuals started a movement. A small flame was lit and is now burning brightly in the hearts of Americans all across our nation. We are tired of our government officials turning a deaf ear; we are sick of our officials taking advantage of us; we needed to send a message that we aren’t going to sit back anymore and allow our officials to do whatever they want and get away with it. Our Congressmen and women and Senators have become complacent and need to know that we Americans are through with their reckless spending, taxation, lies and deceit. The Tea Parties are just the beginning of our proclamation. We will end it in the voting booths in 2010 and 2012.
There were almost 700 rallies all over our nation and those who gathered weren’t concerned with age or political affiliation. They only cared that each person was an American and was frustrated, angry and disenfranchised. They joined together as Americans should. They were UNIFIED and on a mission. They united together and accomplished their mission-TELL CAPITOL HILL TO STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
The MSM has spun these Tea Parties as something completely different. We’ve been called Extremists or Violent Revolutionaries that want to overthrow the government. It’s been slanted that we’re crazy-right-wing-nuts who don’t want to pay taxes or something TOTALLY false like that. Goodness forbid if the MSM would tell the truth. Does the MSM even know the meaning of the word?
Americans know taxes are necessary. We know we need government. It’s the reckless spending; the tax cheats in office; the total disregard for the people of America that has us angry. Anyone with any sense would see that. But you’ll have those who will spin this to make it look like we’re crazy moon bats. Oh well, it is what it is. I KNOW THE TRUTH. I know my heart, my values and my principles. I know that I am patriotic and I pay my taxes and will continue to do so. However, I REFUSE to allow anymore corrupt politicians to take our Constitution and Country hostage. If this makes me loony, well, then I’m a loon. And until Congress listens, these Tea Parties will continue. Until Congress realizes they work for US, they will be voted out of office and replaced with someone who will work for us.
The Tea Parties are our constitutional right; because We the People have the right to assemble and speak out against our government. And we absolutely have the right to do so in a peaceful manner; which is EXACTLY what tens of thousand of Americans did yesterday. What was once a dreaded day for many can now be viewed as a day when America united.
This is a grassroots movement that will continue. So beware Congress. Not of guns and violence; but of We the People. We are taking our Country back.

AIG -The 1st to be Nationalized
It was announced Monday that AIG, the insurance giant that was TOO big to fail, needs another 30 billion dollars or it will go under. This will take AIG’s total bailout to 180 billion in taxpayers money since last fall. Why are we still sinking money into this failing company? Isn’t is obvious that this company is in fact NOT too big and has already FAILED and should be allowed to do so? Why are the American people responsible for greed, corruption and the failings of bad decisions of a company who's time is just plain over?
I have my own theory on this AIG bailout. I believe that this Administration WANTS AIG to NEED more and more money so it can continue to bail it out until it becomes 100% owned by the government. Oh, I’ve heard all the arguments that if AIG goes under thousands of jobs will be lost and teachers all over the country will lose their 401k’s. (But never mind the average American’s 401k!) Oh yeah, and the sky is falling again today! To save AIG, it needs some serious money- like 500 billion. Obama and his genius economic team know this. So, why are they messing around with 20 billon here and 30 billion there? Just hand AIG the whole kit and caboodle and get it over with already! But they won’t; because their agenda is so much larger and they want the American people to THINK they are helping.
Obama’s agenda is to nationalize AIG. He wants AIG to fail. Just like he wants banks to fail. He wants to pass a law to give judges power to change mortgage contracts so when people file bankruptcy the judge can change the principle on the mortgage. He also wants to bail out deadbeats that shouldn’t have gotten mortgages to begin with. Why? Because he wants to give banks money so the government has an investment in the banks until it has 100% ownership then it can be Nationalized. And don’t forget The Big 3. He intends to give them enough money so he can nationalize them, too.
What it boils down to is this. Our Banking, Insurance, Housing and Automobile Industries will be owned by the government. They will be Nationalized and run by the government. Obama’s agenda is to Socialize this nation and what better way to get his scheme going than to pretend he’s helping? By the time the public sees Obama for what he truly is, a Socialist-Marxist, it’ll be too late. Obama ran his campaign on Change, and that’s EXACTLY what we’re getting. Change from Capitalism to Socialism. Obama plans on destroying this country one piece at a time. Look what he’s done in a little over 40 days. I can’t even imagine what he’ll do in the next 4 years.
Nancy Pelosi call your Plastic Surgeon-ASAP!

Last night during Obama’s Address to Congress, I was fearful Pelosi’s smile was surgically enhanced to stay that way-FOREVER. I don’t think I EVER saw her smile as much as I did last night. She’s always reminded me of the Cheshire Cat, especially when she wears purple, and she wears purple a lot. That grin of hers just keeps giving. I wonder: when she left the Chamber, was her smile still hanging around her

Obama Stimulus Plan is Shackles in Disguise
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is a fancy name for Obama and the Democrats’ laundry list of social entitlements. This bill is filled with so many liberal agendas hidden in over 700 pages of complex autocratic words, it’s no wonder the average American doesn’t know how dangerous it is. I’d be surprised if even half of Congress and the Senate really understand it. There is NO WAY this bill was recently written. Pelosi and her comrades had these social items written a long time ago and she was just waiting until she could ram them down our throats.
If you read the condensed version, written by the House Appropriations Committee, it doesn’t sound so bad. A list of departments and what they’ll cost. To the untrained eye, and well… brain, it looks like it could stimulate…something. But that something sure as heck isn’t the economy.
There’s 1 billion dollars for the Bureau of the Census. There's also 890 million for the Social Security Administration. What’s the problem with the two of those? Three million dollars from the SSA is designated to fund a Census to report on the impact of past and future minimum wage increases in American Somoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Besides not needing a billion dollars in censuses in an economic crisis, does anyone besides me see a problem with taking 3 million dollars from SSA to fund a census?
I’m also a bit curious as to why it matters what the impact of minimum wage is on 2 Pacific Ocean Islands whose gross populations equal less than 150K? We’re going to waste 3 million dollars to see how minimum wage affects theses islands WHY? One Island only has a land area of 77 sq miles. It’s not like we’re going to build a bunch of island businesses and send tens of thousand of Americans there for jobs!
That’s just ONE small tidbit hidden in this Debit Package that Obama wants to sink us with. It’s debt that our great-grandchildren will be paying for. This PELOSI PORK PACKAGE will NOT create jobs in the private sector, it will NOT spur the economy and it will NOT stimulate anything except more government, more entitlement programs and eventually higher taxes, interest rates and inflation.
Obama said he inherited a trillion dollar defecit. What’s his cure? Increase it by another trillion. Then allow Turbo Tim to increase it by another trillion or two. These clowns are out of hand. We The People need to get OUR Country back from these CROOKS. They are stealing our children and grand-children’s futures. Obama’s mind-set that “Government is the only solution” has to be stopped. With an attitude like that we are in for more spending and a government so large we’ll be shackled to them forever. Obama, Pelosi and their team of Left-Winged-Wack-Jobs are using this Debt Package to enslave us and future generations of Americans for years to come.

A Sad Day

Today George W. Bush will leave the White House and Barack Obama will move in and take over the awesome responsibility of running our Country. Forgive me, I’m not happy, over zealous or even proud. Quite frankly, I’m scared out of my mind.
For over 7 years GW has kept this country safe. We Americans have no idea how many terrorist attacks his anti-terror tactics have thwarted. But we should be grateful. Also during Bush’s presidency we experienced 8 years of low interest rates, inflation and unemployment. Gas prices were high, which happened only after the Dems took control of Congress. And they thwarted all attempts to drill here, drill now, which would have lowered gas prices. Yes, we are in a major financial crisis now, but only after the October surprise. I’m not a conspiracist, but I’m convinced this economic melt down was contrived.
Today Obama will be sworn in and we will be FORCED to take on his radical ideologies. He believes that the way out of this economic crisis is to spend more money. I learned a long time ago that one doesn’t get out of debt by borrowing money. He’s going to send the American people between $500 and $1,000 to stimulate the economy. Pahleeze! The last 3 so-called tax rebate checks didn’t stimulate anything, what makes Obama think it’s going to work this time with a 7.2% unemployment rate? People are going to save their money just in case they need it. His mentality that Government is the only entity that can fix this problem is extremely frightening. Government is the only entity that can screw up a one man parade! His stimulus plan of 800 billion dollars includes building roads and giving aid to cities. What happens when that money is gone? The roads stop being paved and whatever city projects were working will come to a halt. His stimulus package is spending and once the money runs out, so does the stimulus. Again, I’m not an economic genius but it only makes sense to put money into the pockets of people who can create and keep jobs running, like, um, BUSINESS OWNERS.
If you cut taxes and business owners know they will have X number of dollars every month they will hire employees and those employees will produce labor and that labor will stimulate the economy. Why is this so difficult to understand? Oh, wait, I know. Obama and his Demorats buddies WANT bigger government. And what better way than to CONVINCE the American people that we need a SPENDING PACKAGE! This is a dream come true for the Democrats.
I sit here today feeling no real pride or optimism. All the money Obama wants to SPEND to STIMULATE the economy will have to be paid back some day. And the truly sad truth is the spending won’t work. Inflation could hit double digits. Didn’t the FDR administration teach us anything? Is Obama trying to outspend FDR? Because maybe if FDR had spent a trillion dollars it would’ve worked.
I still believe that the banks need to use their bailout money and start lending and we need tax cuts, then we would see some movement in the economy. But that’s just me. Until then I think we’re in for a long ride. And I fully intend to hoard my money. I know that’s probably not the American thing to do, but I have a family to think about and I’m going to stimulate MY bank balance. If I don’t worry about my family who else will? The government? Sorry, I have no faith in government or the new president.
So, forgive me my bleakness. Maybe after January 20th I’ll have something positive to say. Maybe this spending package will work. Maybe the 52% that voted for Obama will be enough to stimulate the economy. Maybe, just maybe, people will begin spending again--even without jobs.
So, with the theme of Hope---I hope I can blog soon that I was so very wrong and that Obama is a genius and the greatest president ever. I want to say I’m wrong. Please let me be wrong.

The Vote has been Cast
Our 1st black president has been elected and this is an historic day for our country. I watched the entire election coverage, so, in a sense, I watched history in action.
I was rooting for John McCain, because I believed he was the best candidate for our country. I’m not a sore loser, so I won’t diminish Bark Obama’s victory. I’m disappointed, yes, but the American people have spoken--–the votes have been cast.
Senator McCain gave a gracious speech. His acknowledgement of Senator Obama’s campaign and victory was exemplary. I didn’t expect anything less from such an honorable, courageous man.
President Elect Obama’s speech was outstanding, I must admit. He is a charismatic presence and as such can captivate you with his eloquent words. I only hope that they aren’t just pretty words spoken in the appropriate way just to appease a crowd. I hope he is true to his word and really is for change that is for the greatness of our country and her people.

Obama Failed Economics
I’m not a rocket scientist; however I do know you can’t grow the economy from the bottom up, as Obama has affirmed he’s going to do if he’s elected President. Obama said he’s going to raise taxes on those who earn 250K or more and spread the wealth to those who don’t, including 40% of Americans who don’t pay any taxes at all. It’s hard for me to understand why anyone with a brain would vote for Obama for this very reason. My question to Obama supporters is this, “When was the last time you got a job from a poor man?” I can answer that question for every American, NEVER. Poor men can’t create jobs. When the rich have money to spend they spread the wealth. Hypothetically, I get my hair done every week by Sue the hairdresser. When I get a tax cut, I have extra money, so I decide to spread my wealth by going to Sue twice a week. Going to Sue twice a week gives Sue extra money. Now Sue and her husband Fred can go to dinner once a week. Sue also has a poodle that she’d like to have groomed. She can have Fluffy trimmed once a month. This groomer has to hire a new employee. And the cycle continues downward. The wealth and jobs are created from the TOP; from the rich. Here comes Obama who raises my taxes which is going to leave me with less money. Sorry, Sue, I have less money now, so I can only get my hair done twice a month. Now Sue has less money so she stops getting Fluffy groomed; the groomer lays off its extra employee and Sue and Fred can’t go out to eat once a week anymore either. So the cycle again continues downward. Raising taxes on the rich trickles down hurting the middle and lower income brackets. This doesn’t take a degree in economics, just common sense. Obama must’ve missed that class in college; or he just plain failed economics. I’d like to see his college transcripts. Oh, wait, he doesn’t have to show proof of citizenship or even medical records, so college records are off limits, too.

Color is as Color does
When Colin Powell was our Secretary of State I had such respect for the retired General of our US Army. He was a commanding figure that understood the evil we faced abroad in the war on terror and supported President Bush and our endeavors in this war until his resignation in 2005. After hearing about his endorsement of Obama, I’m so disappointed in him. I’m convinced his endorsement of Obama is biased. They are both black. Yep. I said it. BLACK. I’ve said it before, I’m not politically correct. I’m just livid over Powell’s decision. Our economy is in trouble, yes; however, our national security is most important and a decorated war hero should know the dire straits of that. Obama isn’t qualified to protect our nation. Obama isn’t ready to lead a nation in its time of war. Powell knows this better than anyone. If the current situation were only about taxes and our economy, I could accept his decision. Powell knows McCain is more than competent to pilot and protect us during wartime. For Powell to say that the American people don’t have the right to know Obama’s religion or his relationship with the American terrorist, Bill Ayers, the black supremacist,Reverend Wright, and the deceitful group, ACORN, is like saying we don’t have the right to know what our spouse is doing. When a person is running for public office, especially President of the United States, he must prove he is of good moral character which means he should have associates of such value also. Guilt by association can’t be used in this situation. You are the company you keep. And if Obama is keeping company with black supremacists, domestic terrorists and fraudulent community organizers, well, you know what he is then.

Liars, Thieves and Cheats…Oh My
What's up with these politicians that run on family values, blah, blah, then get caught in public restrooms trying to pick up other men; emailing sex messages to teenage boys; keeping 3 mistresses while married; putting prostitutes in jail while paying thousands of dollars for a whore for yourself...and the list goes on. Not that other men don't do the same sick, twisted, illegal actions. The difference is the average Joe isn't in the public eye spewing lies about his integrity using tax dollars. Then you have the wives of these disgusting pig politicians standing next to them while they read from their prewritten apology like they truly feel remorse. They’re only sorry they got caught. The apologies are as genuine as their integrity speeches that got them elected in the first place. What’s wrong with these women? They have to know how ridiculous they look standing next to their so-called husbands on national television. If it were me…I’d go in front of that camera and just as he began his hypocritical, prewritten apology, I’d kick him in his crotch and walk away.

Spreading the Wealth
While wondering how I came to be a Republican, some memories of my younger years came to mind. I recall my bio-mother, who was on welfare, saying, “Democrats are for the poor and Republicans are for the rich.” In my impressionable mind, her being a Democrat with no job and on welfare, and my dad, a Republican with a good job who sent child support payments every month and supplied my siblings and me with health and dental care, I thought, "Democrats were poor and Republicans were rich." And decided, “I want to be rich; I want to be a Republican!” I suppose that wasn’t the message my bio-mother was trying to convey to me; but it was the message I received because I detested her being on government assistance. She was more than capable of working; however, she chose to receive food stamps and medical assistance. As far as I was concerned, the Democrats enabled her to stay in that perpetual condition of poverty by providing her with handouts rather than telling her she didn’t qualify because she was healthy enough to get a job and take pride in herself and earn her own way. I also remember former President Jimmy Carter on television during the Iran hostage crisis. I hated his pasty white face and that awful southern drawl. I remember asking, “Why aren’t we going after our Americans?” I don’t recall the answer to my question, but I do remember Ronald Reagan becoming our 40th President and lo and behold our hostages were released just minutes after he made his inauguration speech! Another revelation…Iran was afraid of this Ronald Reagan, who stood tall and proud and spoke in a rich, commanding voice. They obviously weren’t too intimidated by Jimmy Carter because they kept our Americans for 444 days, but Ronald Reagan sure daunted them. So, in my mind, Democrats were weak and Republicans were strong. I thought, “I want to be strong; I want to be a Republican!” I registered to vote as an Independent when I was 19 only because it was necessary to become a notary. I didn’t become interested in politics until about 8 years later during the 1992 election; however, I wasn’t able to vote because I was in the hospital giving birth to my 1st son. I’m no political expert; but I do know my convictions and they just happen to correlate with the Republican Party. I want less government involvement and less social programs. I want less taxes or more tax cuts for businesses, because I’m smart enough to know if businesses have more money they will “spread the wealth” and hire more people or even lower their costs. I think a higher minimum wage is stupid. Minimum wage wasn’t designed to raise a family. It’s for teenagers to earn some extra money; moms that want to reenter the work force once their kids enter school; or college students working their way toward a degree. Anyone that is trying to raise a family on minimum wage needs to go back to school and get a brain. I want the government to protect me, therefore, I support a strong military. I don’t want the government handling my health care. The government practically bankrupted social security and can’t supervise its own corrupt colleagues, i.e. Chris Dodd and Barney Frank. What makes me think it can properly oversee a complicated matter such as health care? It can’t and it wasn’t designed to. Our Founding Fathers knew the limitations of government so instituted our Constitution. I want the freedom to speak my mind with my gun in its holster as I close my bible so I can listen to my favorite talk radio station. Obviously those aren’t all my beliefs. I just found it ironic that my political convictions began at a very young age and I went the Republican route even though I grew up in a Democratic household where “spreading the wealth” was fully entrenched. From my point of view, having lived it, Barack’s plan to “spread the wealth” isn’t a utopia but another form of slavery.
